AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!
At the moment it's just gone 3am and I am sitting in my room with a broom beside me because there is a rat somewhere inside my house! I kept waking up thinking I could hear noises in the house but it was windy outside so I figured that's what it was, then I heard something scrabbling in the kitchen and got up just in time to see a rat run across the floor! Last I saw it was behind the TV in the lounge, and frankly I'm at a loss as to what to do about it. I am TERRIFIED of rats. When I was a teenager my friend's brother had pet rats and I couldn't even bear to look at them, they freaked me out so much.
So for the last hour I've been pacing around the house with a broom wondering what the hell to do. Now I'm just sitting on my bed, hoping doesn't come near me. I won't be going to sleep any time soon, I can tell you. :-(

Oh no! Have you caught it? Is it gone?
ReplyDeleteYou're like the mother in "The Drover's Wife"! But with rats...
ReplyDeleteI hat rats and mice - I can't handle them either. I feel your pain. We think we have a possum or rat in the roof at the moment. I think calling the pest exterminators is the best move for both of us. Ick!!
Fark, you need a trap and pinenuts! I think we have a rat in the wall and roof 0_o I can hear scratchy noises at night *blergh*
ReplyDeleteGeez, hope you caught it! Get a cat, seriously :D
ReplyDeleteEEP. Hope you catch the bugger soon! :(
ReplyDeleteDee!!! I feel your pain! I am horrifically terrified of rats, we had one in the house once and I couldn't sleep... we trapped it in our roommates room and I had towels under my door so it couldn't get in and I stood on the bed crying.
ReplyDeleteWe ended up catching it, I made the bf put about 5 traps in the room with honey and peanut butter on each one so the sucker would stick.
I am so afraid that I can't even look at them in movies!
I'm the same, Anita - even on screen they freak me out. :-(
ReplyDeleteI just want to say I've felt like that painting SO OFTEN in my life.
