When #nobuy is a total and immediate fail...

A couple of weeks ago Jessica from The Belle Lumiere asked on Twitter who would be interested in doing a No Buy until the end of the year. Me, I said. But I need to buy something first to get it out of my system. So I bought a dress from Etsy. That was it. One measly dress.

Since then, what have I bought? Well, let's look at my Paypal account, shall we? According to that, it's been a busy couple of weeks.

I think we can declare this No Buy a complete bust. And there was me being all smug because I resisted buying anything when Priceline had 40% off all makeup...

  1. lol I said I'd be in the no buy too, then I got an asos code and needed to buy a skater skirt, and a gingery body butter from the bodyshop, also I want makeup, hair stuff, more skin stuff, more perfume MORE MORE MORE!!!

    1. It's like dieting. You can go a year without eating cake but as soon as it's 'not allowed' that's all you want.

  2. I've been there. I always come up exceptions for a no-buy, which is why I rarely attempt them. I was thinking about attempting a no-buy after the holidays, but with the Naked 3 Palette and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, that's going to be a bust too. LOL

    1. Haha, I'm not too fussed about Naked 3 if it's permanent - I'm happy to wait til all the fuss dies down to pick that one up.

  3. My New Year's resolution was a makeup no-buy since I've been binging on indie makeup lately. I totally broke that when Notoriously Morbid had a Free Friday deal -_- and I'm close to breaking it again with Shiro's January CotM. Someone on reddit suggested I can do a "only one indie per month" or something of the sort. I think I might be able to do that more :/

    1. I used to have a pocket money system that worked quite well - I allocated myself a set amount of money for frivolous stuff like makeup and perfume and that way I could buy without feeling guilty about it. :-)
