Say goodbye to my buckeroos, Illamasqua

You may or may not be aware of Illamasqua's latest marketing campaign. I don't intend to rehash what's already been said - I just want to point you in the direction of a wonderfully written post about it, that articulates everything I feel.

  1. Such a shame because I LOVE their makeup, but honestly WTF were they thinking, so wrong.

    1. And seemingly without remorse too. Bastards.

  2. It is just wrong! Like Jade, I also like some makeup but everything is overpriced. Remember the 'fight' for fair price gimmick they lauched, like they are doing Australian customers a favour? Many companies are starting to reduce prices and not hissy fitting about it! Their campaigns are always attention seeking and I think they very well knew what they were doing with black face. It backfired and they lost customers. It is sad what they do for money. Very disappointed that there is still no apology :(
    Michaela's post rocks!

    1. I've never really warmed that much to Illamasqua. I do have an angled brow brush of theirs that I love, but I've tried an eyeshadow and a blush and... meh. It's not bad but nothing special. And I find their advertising a bit... "LOOK AT US, WE'RE NOT LIKE THOSE OTHER PEOPLE, WE'RE DIFFERENT!" and really, they're not.
