May Empties

I've really lost momentum when it comes to both writing and reading blogs. There are a lot of things about it getting on my nerves of late, and I've been kind of moving away from many things I don't like. I still love empties posts, though.

I can't be bothered writing a mini-review of everything today, so I've just sorted them into 'would repurchase' and 'wouldn't repurchase'. One thing I will comment on though - the Elixia Eye Brightening Fluid is actually a really good eye cream, but it's about $70 for 10 ml and the packaging is designed so you cannot avoid releasing about 3 times more than you need. Then when you get to the end and it won't pump anymore, there's still product in there but no way to open it and get in there. For $70, I want to control the amount I dispense and get every last drop, thanks. Hence its presence on the 'wouldn't repurchase' list, despite really liking it.

Would not repurchase:
  • KMS Silk Sheen Shampoo
  • KMS Flat Out Shampoo
  • Garnier Fructis Fortifying Conditioner Normal
  • Kevin Murphy Luxury Wash
  • Garnier Skin Naturals Clean Sensitive Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes
  • Swisspers Unscented Facial Cleansing Wipes
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Elixia Eye Brightening Fluid

Would repurchase:
  • Al'chemy Unscented Very Gentle Shampoo
  • Gaia Bodycare Pink Grapefruit and Jasmine Body Wash (love the product, but they really need to do something about their scents - this one smells vaguely like tobacco)
  • Super Sprout Wheatgrass Sprout Powder
  • Silk Naturals Pore Refining Toner
  • Silk Naturals Hemp Moisturiser

  1. I get really annoyed with pump packs that don't pump out all the product. I consistently have this problem with Aveeno body lotion pump bottles - I'm stubborn about avoiding wastage so I stand them upside down and unscrew the pump to dig out the last bits, but geez it's so frustrating!

    1. Yes, I understand that pump packs are great for hygienic reasons but they need to come with easily removable tops for those of us who want to get our money's worth!

  2. hmmm, i thought I was the only person who'd come across tobacco-scented products. I got a fairly expensive liz early body wash and the elemis sharp shower recently and they both seemed tobacco-y. weird.

I think you may be the only person in the whole world who wouldnt repurchase urban decays primer potion! :)

    1. Haha, I've never even bought a UDPP - I just keep acquiring them with palettes or gift packs. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan. It makes shadows go on unevenly for me, and I actually prefer my cheapo NYX and Coastal Scents primers. I've heard the NARS one is meant to be pretty spectacular - maybe when I've worked through all the ones I currently have I'll give that a go. :-)
